The historic residence built on the western shore of Lake Como reflects the architectural style of the 16th century. The renovation was carried out with respect for the illustrious past of Villa Balbiano, through the installation of custom-made doors and windows with shapes, profiles, and dimensions similar to the existing ones.
The project began with extensive research and selection of materials: some of the villa's doors bore the year and name of the master craftsman who had built them. In the end, with the choice of Italian walnut wood, the interior doors and windows were left natural and finished with wax to maintain the patina of the original doors made in 1688.
